A Message From Founder & CEO Costa Kapothanasis On COVID-19

Originally after receiving an email from any company I had ever given my email to I felt like doing a blanket COVID-19 post was unnecessary, but I think it’s important to put into writing where we stand. Simply put – we’re open, and our plan is to stay open to service your vehicles so that you can maintain the autonomy that vehicle ownership provides here in America.

There is so much to take care of — your family, your cars,  and everything that depends on you. Please know that through the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, you can count on all of us at Costa Oil to be there for you.

OUR PLAN:

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING. If you don’t feel the want or need to leave your vehicle, please don’t. Drive your vehicle in (we will guide you) and wait inside the car during the service. We can instruct you when it’s time to shut off and start the vehicle to do our checks. and services.
  • We are making sure our stores are safe for you and our CREW. The shop is a dirty place and we work hard to clean the greases and oils, we will take extra care to make sure we clean the commonly used waiting areas.
  • Because we know you count on us, our stores are staying open, stocked and keeping normal business hours in every location.
  • Health and safety are our top priority. We are taking care of our CREW so they can take care of you. This includes offering paid leave to any CREW member affected by the illness, so nobody must come to work sick.

As our customer and fellow driver, your health and safety are always of the utmost importance. We know that your family, car and pets— what makes life out here so special — count on you to take care of them. Our commitment is to be here for you and do everything we can to assist you and your family.

We are a small business, and my focus over the next few months is to ensure that we get through this, while all of our CREW maintains their ability to provide for their own families. We are a business that is especially susceptible to ripple effects of the virus. People en masse are driving less than they would when they have a commute. People are also putting off errands that they would otherwise routinely make. This ripple will affect our business months from now because of the gap in the oil change interval that is about to be created due to normal miles not being driven. If you’re wondering how it may be possible to support us as a small business, consider buying a gift certificate for yourself our your family member. This simultaneously helps our cash flow while also creating the promise of a future service that will eventually be needed in any instance.

If there is anything we can do to assist you during this challenging time, please let us know. Stay safe and healthy.

Thank you,

Costa Kapothanasis
