At Costa Oil, we are committed to delivering fast and efficient oil change services while prioritizing vehicle safety and integrity. However, due to the nature and condition of certain vehicle components, we must establish the following policy regarding skid plates and splash guards:

Policy Statement:

Costa Oil is not responsible for damage to skid plates or splash guards during service.

Reasoning:

• Skid plates and splash guards are designed to protect the underside of a vehicle but are subject to natural wear and tear over time.

• These components are often exposed to road debris, corrosion, impact, and weather conditions, which can cause fasteners to strip, plastic to become brittle, or panels to deform.

• Due to their pre-existing condition, removal or adjustment of these parts during service may result in damage that is outside of Costa Oil’s control.

Customer Acknowledgment:

By receiving service at Costa Oil, the customer acknowledges:

• That skid plate and splash guard wear is a normal part of vehicle aging.

• That Costa Oil will not be held liable for any damage incurred to these components as a result of routine service or required removal.

• That replacement or repair of these components is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Additional Notes:

• If a skid plate is found to be excessively damaged or compromised before service, technicians may decline removal and notify the customer accordingly.

• We strive to handle all components with care and professionalism, but liability is limited to the scope of service and condition of the part prior to service.
